Dr. Josh Baker will be inaugurated as the 10th president of Midwestern University on Sept. 14 at the postgraduate medical school’s North Glendale campus.
But he has been on that job a year and worked his way up the ladder for 13 years. During that time he witnessed the campus at 19555 N 59th Ave. grow and become a partner with the city and surrounding neighborhoods.
Campus housing continues to expand as Midwestern recently completed adding eight buildings that will account for 256 deluxe studio apartments. Prior to this, about 350 students lived in campus housing. Now on-campus residences can host up to 690 students.
