Homebuilder Cavco buys building, announces new jobs

Posted

Phoenix-based manufactured home builder Cavco Industries Inc. announced plans to add 200 jobs after the company bought a 118,000-square-foot building in Phoenix.

Cavco designs and produces factory-built housing products primarily distributed through a network of independent and company-owned retailers. The company manufactures park model and RV homes.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company will use its Phoenix location to increase  production capacity of park models, cabins and cottages.

The building, 10100 W. Montebello Avenue, is expected to be operational by Dec. 2021. The structure is one of four buildings in Park Aldea near 99th Avenue and Cardinals Way.

According to its website, Park Aldea is owned by TC Park Aldea Venture LLC, a joint venture between Trammel Crow Co. and CBRE Global Investors.

“We are excited to announce the addition of this facility to our existing manufacturing footprint,” said Bill Boor, Cavco president and CEO. “Not only will it allow us to better serve our park model customers with a dedicated facility, it will also create additional capacity for HUD code homes at our Goodyear factory to serve the Southwest region of the U.S.,” said Mr. Boor in a press release.
