Tre Hickem’s connection to community service started when he attended the local boys and girls club, then deepened as a player at Scottsdale Saguaro from 2011 to 2013.
He came back to the area as an assistant coach at Horizon High School on the border of Phoenix and Scottsdale. Then, when Mountain Ridge hired former Saguaro assistant Andy Johnson in summer 2024, Hickem joined his staff and started setting up new connections.
Hickem is the program director at the Louis & Elizabeth Sands Branch of the Boys and Girls Club at 4730 W. Grovers Ave., Glendale. He started taking Mountain Ridge football players to read to students at nearby Copper Creek Elementary School last fall.
