Gas prices around the state dropped nine cents to $4.71 a gallon, and the national average dropped 16 cents to $4.31 a gallon.
“Although prices have dropped after Memorial Day demand passed, gas prices remain the highest they’ve been in four years,” said AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson Aldo Vazquez in a release. “They’ll likely remain elevated as the busy summer driving season gets underway.”
In Glendale, the lowest prices offered dipped dramatically from their pre-Memorial Day levels. According to gasbuddy.com, Mohsen Oil at 7504 W. Glendale Ave., is the lowest cost option in the city as of May 28 at $4.28. Its price was $4.54 a gallon a week ago.
