Glendale ranks high nationally for economic growth

The city of Glendale ranked high nationally in a study of economic growth and other municipal metrics — though not quite as high as some Valley suburbs.

A study commissioned by CoworkingCafe highlighted the U.S. cities that experienced the most economic growth in recent years, split into categories of population size: large, midsize, and small, according to a news release.

Glendale ranked ninth overall among midsize cities. With a 1% growth in employment rate, Glendale takes the third spot for this metric. The 1% drop in unemployment rate places it second among mid-sized cities.
