Glendale food bank given $40,000 from Christmas parade

Glendale Mayor and founder of the Hometown Christmas Parade Jerry P. Weiers presented Hope for Hunger Food Bank with the proceeds from the 2025 parade on Monday, marking a record-year of community generosity and holiday spirit.

Thanks to the support of residents, businesses, and parade participants, more than 12,260 pounds of canned food were donated; the largest food contribution in the event’s history.

In addition, the Hometown Christmas Parade Committee raised $40,000 in monetary donations, all benefiting Hope for Hunger and the families they serve throughout the community.
