The developer for mixed-use Heritage Park in Gilbert announced this week as its first tenants three restaurants.
Creation, in partnership with Crescent Communities, said Flagship Restaurant Group has signed a lease for approximately 14,000 square feet at Heritage Park with plans to bring three of its concepts to the East Valley.
The mixed-use development will be on the north end of the Heritage District on what was long a vacant lot used for parking.
With headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, Flagship's restaurant and entertainment brands include Châm Pang Lanes, Ghost Donkey, Pyro, Palma, Anthem, Blatt Beer & Table, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Clio, Flagship Commons, Memoir, Plank, Revival House, Clio and Roja Mexican Grill + Margarita Bar.
The company already has multiple brands in Phoenix.
“At Creation, we take pride in our longstanding commitment to enhancing Downtown Gilbert with distinctive projects that enrich the community,” said David Sellers, co-founder of Creation, in a release. “Heritage Park builds on our years of work in the neighborhood, creating a central space that reflects Gilbert’s character and brings people together."
The 10-acre, mixed-use development of Heritage Park serves as the northern gateway into Gilbert’s downtown area.
Comprised of an entire city block on the southwest corner of Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue, Heritage Park will be completed in phases, with phase one encompassing approximately 47,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, a 288-residence multifamily community, more than 300 surface parking spaces and a 17,500-square-foot public square with water features, mature landscaping, public art and walking and biking paths.
Future phases will include a 125-room hotel, office and additional parking.
“Partnering with Creation on the development of Heritage Park allows us to bring a diverse mix of dining, retail and residential spaces to vibrant Downtown Gilbert,” said Sagar Rathie, managing director for Crescent Communities, sid in the release. “Our goal is to create a destination that enhances the community, serving as a dynamic hub for social and economic activity in the East Valley, and we’re looking forward to contributing to the growth and vitality of this thriving region throughout the coming years.”
LGE Design Build will do the design and construction of Heritage Park, which is expected to break ground in early 2025. Phoenix Commercial Advisors has been hired to oversee the leasing.
