The Gilbert Town Council formally certified the results of the 2024 town election at a special meeting Aug. 13.

That makes official what was already known: Scott Anderson will be the town's mayor and Monte Lyons will take a seat on council when new terms start in January.

Anderson received 24,659 votes, or 56.6%, to Natalie DiBernardo's 18,791, or 43.13%, according to the certified results.
