Higley Unified School District completed a series of maintenance and improvement projects across multiple campuses during summer break as students and staff were away from school.
District maintenance and operations crews used the summer months to complete larger projects that are more difficult to perform while campuses are fully occupied.
Projects completed during the break included new flooring installation at Chaparral Elementary School; tennis court and field lighting improvements at Higley High School; and fencing and parking lot improvements at Power Ranch Elementary School.
Additional work included fire lane improvements at San Tan Elementary School; HVAC upgrades at Cooley Middle School; painting and HVAC improvements at Williams Field High School; painting projects at Sossaman Middle School and Gateway Pointe Elementary School; and fire lane and HVAC improvements at Coronado Elementary School.
District officials said the projects are part of ongoing efforts to maintain school facilities and provide safe and functional learning and working environments for students and staff.
