Higley voters rejecting bond, override

For the third consecutive election, Higley Unified School District voters are soundly beating back a bond question from the district.

Additionally, the district this year is asking for a continuance on its 15% override, but that too is falling, though that margin is very thin and the votes still early.

In the third release of votes through the Maricopa County Elections Department early Wednesday morning, the no vote on the $83.1 million bond was at 15,202 votes or 56.93%. Yes votes are at 11,502 or 43.07%.
