As thousands of students return to classrooms Thursday for the first day of the 2026-27 school year, Higley Unified School District is rolling out a new communications platform designed to simplify how families receive information from their schools.
The district is launching ParentSquare as its primary communication tool, replacing the patchwork of apps, emails and other platforms many parents previously used to stay connected with teachers, schools and district staff.
District officials said the move responds to feedback from families and employees who wanted a simpler, more consistent way to receive school information. The platform will eventually combine district, school, classroom, club and extracurricular communications into a single application.
