Higley Unified School District students are earning industry credentials, college credits and strong scores on state technical assessments as the district looks for ways to expand what students can accomplish before graduating from high school.
About 2,457 Higley students are enrolled this school year in career and technical education programs offered at the district’s high schools, while another 429 attend programs at one of East Valley Institute of Technology’s two central campuses, according to the district.
The district offers 22 unique industry certifications through its CTE programs and is providing 98 dual-enrollment credits this year through partnerships with Chandler-Gilbert, Mesa and Scottsdale community colleges.
