Current and former residents of two Gilbert apartment communities are being encouraged to apply for rental assistance made available through a $1 million settlement fund tied to a rental price-fixing case.
The assistance program is available to eligible tenants of Weidner Apartment Homes properties across Maricopa County, including residents and former residents of Sonoma Landing and Flats at San Tan in Gilbert.
Wildfire, an Arizona anti-poverty nonprofit, is administering the funds, which are intended to help qualifying households facing financial hardship. Priority is being given to applicants with the greatest need based on household income.
