Gilbert proposes annexation to support water infrastructure expansion

Town officials are moving forward with the annexation of a 0.19-acre parcel at East Pecos Road and South 164th Street, a move aimed at bolstering Gilbert’s water infrastructure.

The parcel, currently under Maricopa County jurisdiction, is part of a larger effort to develop the town’s well system and improve water management.

The annexation process began with the filing of a blank petition Jan. 16. The town then held a public hearing Feb. 11 to gather community input, though none was given.
