Gilbert Fire and Rescue has ordered the evacuation and closure of a prominently located commercial property at 1111 N. Gilbert Road after determining the building poses an immediate safety risk.
The property owner was notified of the evacuation order June 1, and tenants were instructed to collect essential belongings and vacate the premises.
According to Gilbert Fire and Rescue, multiple inspections identified separation in load-bearing walls and other foundation issues. Officials said the findings indicate potential structural instability.
