Gilbert is hoping to meet young residents where they already spend much of their time online with the launch of Growin' Up Gilbert, a new Instagram account aimed at middle and high school students and their families.
The account, which officially launched this month, grew out of a recommendation from the town's Community Engagement Task Force, which identified a gap in how Gilbert communicates with younger residents.
The initiative is led by the Office of Communications and Engagement in collaboration with the Gilbert Police Department and other town departments.
