Gilbert crews respond to more than 50 downed trees after Wednesday storm

Public Works crews were cleaning up widespread damage Thursday after a Wednesday night storm toppled more than 50 trees and more than a dozen streetlight poles across Gilbert.

Some of the hardest-hit areas included the Adora Trails, Seville, Coronado Ranch and Marbella Vineyards subdivisions, according to the town.

The storm knocked trees into streets, blocked some roads and caused traffic signal outages. Town officials said crews were working Thursday to clear debris and restore traffic signals.
