Gilbert Town Council members Jim Torgeson and Chuck Bongiovanni have now delivered the podcast they had been promising — and talking about — in the weeks since their July election defeat.
The first episode of “The Truth, Half Truths, Assumptions and Outright Lies” was released Sept. 1, giving listeners their first full look at a project that already had generated discussion in Gilbert political circles before its debut.
The roughly 53-minute episode mixes Gilbert politics with sarcasm, scripted comedy bits, fake advertisements and characters, criticism of political opponents and social media behavior, and a more serious argument for greater civic participation.
