Gilbert Town Council postponed consideration of a proposed 121-unit multifamily development Sept. 1 after the applicant asked to wait until all seven council members could potentially hear the case.
The council agreed to continue the public hearing for Residences at the Reserve until Sept. 15 rather than consider the project's requested general plan amendment and rezoning with council members Yung Koprowski and Kenny Buckland absent.
The absences left five members at the meeting and created a higher hurdle for approval because the actions needed for the project require at least four affirmative votes under town code.
