Gilbert Town Council formally certified an election Tuesday that will dramatically reshape the council in January, with voters ousting all three incumbents who sought reelection.
Council unanimously approved the canvass of the July 21 election, confirming Beth Goulden, Bill Spence, Joel Coen and Bus Obayomi as council members-elect.
The four will take office in January, replacing Vice Mayor Chuck Bongiovanni and council members Jim Torgeson and Bobbi Buchli, who lost their reelection bids, and Councilmember Yung Koprowski, who did not seek another term.
