Gilbert breaks ground on advocacy center, announces foundation

Community leaders, law enforcement and residents celebrated the groundbreaking Monday of the long-desired Gilbert Advocacy Center and announced a new foundation to support its work.

Former Councilmember Kathy Tilque, who will be the foundation president, made the announcement, which adds a significant layer of support for the project.

The facility itself will serve victims of domestic violence, child abuse and other crimes, providing streamlined investigations and support.
