A pizza slice at Geno’s Giant Slice can make an ordinary dinner plate look woefully inadequate.
The Gilbert pizzeria’s signature slice comes from a 24-inch pizza cut into eight pieces, leaving each slice about a foot long. It is big enough to fold New York-style, big enough to become a meal on its own and, occasionally, big enough to carry a marriage proposal.
Owner Jamie Hamzeh said customers have asked the restaurant to write messages in sauce such as “Will you marry me?” or homecoming invitations across its enormous pies.
