The Gilbert Independent/yourvalley.net and the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce are teaming to present a candidate forum and meet and greet from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the DoubleTree by Hilton-Phoenix/Gilbert Conference and Reception Center, 1800 S. Santan Village Parkway, Gilbert.

Voters may attend this event to meet candidates running for election to represent Gilbert — including candidates for Congressional District 5, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors District 1, Legislative Districts 13 and 14, Gilbert Town Council, and Governing Board candidates from Gilbert Public Schools and Higley Unified School District.

This meet-and-greet event format fosters direct interaction between community members and candidates, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and informed voting decisions.

We also will host a candidate forum for Gilbert Public Schools and Higley Unified School District governing board candidates. The forum will allow attendees to gain a better understanding of each candidate and the priorities and platform they would uphold if elected.

The forum for Higley candidates will be from 6:10-7 p.m. Gilbert Public Schools candidates will go from 7:10-8 p.m.
