Applications are coming due for Gilbert's Student Government Day in March.
Applications are due at 11;59 p.m. Jan. 24 while the event is March 4.
During the day, attendees will learn about local government and the town of Gilbert operations from mayor, council members and town staff in a group forum and 1:1 style.
During the day attendees will have the opportunity to shadow a town or community leader to better understand their role in Gilbert's success.
Also, during Student Government Day, a mock town council meeting is held in the Council Chambers. All positions listed will serve a role in the mock town council meeting and the mentoring sessions will provide you understanding of the attendee's "role" for the mock council meeting.
