Thefts, assaults reported by Florence PD

The Florence Police Department took the following reports of crime in the Florence area between April 12-17:

Assault, reported at 8:53 a.m. April 12 East First Street:
Reporting party advised a male subject had assaulted her. She stated she had a minor injury. She stated she didn't want to press charges at this time. Case closed,

Theft of property from motor vehicle, reported at 1:47 p.m. April 13 North Spyglass Drive:
Officer was dispatched to telephone traffic reference a theft. Reporting party advised her license plate was stolen from her vehicle, but she is not certain where the theft occurred. Case is closed pending further information.

Shooting a weapon/Warrant arrest reported at 6:36 p.m. April 13, North Church Street:
Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired. Reporting party advised he heard males arguing and what sounded like gun shots. Upon arrival contact was made with the parties involved. It was reported a shovel was used to strike a shed, no gun were involved. A male suspect was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for a valid/confirmed warrant.

Trespassing reported at 5:09 p.m., April 14, South Pinal Parkway Avenue:

Officer was dispatched to a report of trespassing. Reporting party advised a male subject was on the property. A male suspect was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for criminal trespassing.

Theft of property reported at 8:43 a.m. April 16, West Noble Prairie Way:
Officer was dispatched to a stolen property report. Reporting party advised his box trailer was stolen along with several items located inside the trailer. The trailer was later recovered by Coolidge Police Department. The owner stated several items were missing from the trailer. Case is still  under investigation. 

Assault reported on 11 p.m. April 16, North Pinal Parkway Avenue:
Officer was dispatched to a report of an assault on staff by an inmate. It was reported the inmate grabbed the staff member. Officer was advised the staff member who did not wish to pursue charges but wanted the information reported. Case closed.

Assault reported at 11 p.m. April 16, North Pinal Parkway Avenue:
Officer was dispatched to an assault report. It was reported an inmate had assaulted a correctional officer. Charging review packet has been submitted for determination of charges.

Theft of property reported at 1:54 p.m. April 17, North Pinal Parkway Avenue:
Officer was dispatched to a theft report. Reporting party advised an employee had stolen items from the store. The employee has since been fired from the store. The reporting party could not provide any information on the employee besides the name. Case is closed pending further information.
