A 49-year-old man has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with a homicide that occurred near Florence, authorities said Friday.

Javier Lopez had been wanted for questioning into the death of Christina Lopez who was found April 11 in her home near North Felix and Judd roads, according to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.

Prior to announcing that Javier Lopez was brought into custody, PCSO officials said he may have been in the Phoenix/Tempe area, and they considered him armed and dangerous.
