Chandler, Tempe teams qualified for national Constitution Competition

A Chandler team was a state runner-up and earned a spot in a national competition about the U..S. Constitution with its recent performance, with a Tempe school placing first. Corona Del Sol and Hamilton are qualified for the National We The People Finals, set for April 9-11 in Washington. D.C.
A Chandler team was a state runner-up and earned a spot in a national competition about the U..S. Constitution with its recent performance, with a Tempe school placing first.
Hamilton High School's team placed second in the Jan. 10 statewide We The People State Constitution Competition. East Valley teams dominated the event, as Corona Del Sol High School placed first, with Gilbert Classical Academy's No. 2 team placing third and Mountain View High of Mesa placing fourth.
Corona Del Sol and Hamilton are qualified for the National We The People Finals, set for April 9-11 in Washington. D.C.
In the state competition, student teams compete in a mock Congressional hearing that showcases their expertise of the U.S. Constitution.
Teams were also recognized for their knowledge of specific units of the competition. Marcos De Niza High School of Tempe was the Unit 1 honoree in these awards.
