Chandler USD seniors: More than $200K in scholarships available

Posted

The Chandler Education Foundation has announced the launch of its 2025 scholarship application process, offering graduating seniors from Chandler Unified School District high schools a chance to share in more than $200,000 in funding.

This year, students can apply for three distinct types of scholarships:

• Donor scholarships: Generously funded by individuals and organizations, these awards range from $500 to $5,000. Selection criteria vary by scholarship, based on priorities of the donors, and students can qualify for multiple awards.

• IMPACT scholarships: Open to students enrolled in the IMPACT Chandler service leadership program, these $1,000 scholarships recognize students who demonstrate outstanding community involvement and academic dedication. To qualify, students must complete 100-plus hours of approved community service, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher and achieve a 95% attendance rate by March 24 of this year.

Funding is made possible through the Winner’s Choice Car or Cash Raffle, which launches Jan. 22.

• Foundation scholarships: A new initiative designed to recognize diverse forms of achievement and potential. These scholarships specifically support students with financial need, ensuring equitable access to opportunities for further education.

By completing and submitting a single general application, the online system will indicate which scholarships students are eligible for based on their information.

Some awards may require additional essays, references or supplemental information.

Here are some important dates:

• The application deadline is Monday, March 24. That’s also the last day of CUSD’s spring break. All applications and supplemental materials must be submitted by this date for consideration.

• Recipients will be notified in late April.

• Awardees will be invited to attend special celebrations at their respective schools, where they can meet the donors sponsoring their awards.

In 2024, the Chandler Education Foundation awarded 213 scholarships totaling nearly $240,000 in funding.

Additional information and access to the online application is available through CEF by clicking here
