Chandler Police arrest man for allegedly killing brother

Police arrested a man later identified as Vincent Verbick, 59, in connection with the July 31 shooting. It was later learned the suspect and victim, Simon Verbick, 60, were brothers.
Chandler Police have released information about a July 31 shooting death that turned out to involve two brothers.
Just after 4:30 a.m. on July 31, according to police, officers responded to a report of a shooting near Germann and McQueen roads. When they arrived, they found a man identified as Simon Verbick, 60, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Lifesaving measures were performed at the scene, but the victim was later pronounced dead by the Chandler Fire Department.
Police arrested a man later identified as Vincent Verbick, 59, in connection with the shooting. It was later learned the suspect and victim were brothers.
Verbick has been charged with second-degree murder.
