Chandler ‘math whiz’ teens 2nd at nationals

A team of Arizona College Prep High School seniors beat thousands of international competitors in analyzing online sports gambling effects at MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge 2026.

The ACP team triumphed on behalf of its Chandler school in a competition that began months ago and culminated with a final phase in late April in New York City.

Officially, ACP was runner-up in the M3 Challenge, bringing home to Arizona a $15,000 team award, according to a news release.
