Chandler High School’s Future Farmers of America chapter is celebrating a season capped by a solid showing at a state-level competition.
Students earned multiple team and individual accolades, including a state championship and the opportunity to compete on a national stage.
This included top performances at the Arizona FFA State Career Development Event competitions and the Maricopa County Fair.
The Chandler FFA Floriculture team earned Gold and the title of State Champions, securing a spot to represent Arizona at the National FFA Convention in Indiana later this year.
In addition to state-level competitions, Chandler FFA made a strong impression during Breeding Week at the Maricopa County Fair, where students brought home 10 champion buckles for their showmanship and livestock excellence.
FFA is a longtime national youth organization that prepares members for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture.
Chandler Unified students in agriscience classes have the opportunity to compete in FFA. Agriscience is one of more than 20 career and technical education programs available to district students.
