Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) work continues as part of the widening project between Val Vista and Loop 101.

The westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at McQueen Road will close at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, for about 60 days for ramp reconstruction.

As a detour, drivers might consider using the westbound on-ramps at Cooper Road or Arizona Avenue.

Other ongoing long-term ramp closures in place in the Chandler / Gilbert area include:

• Westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Cooper Road — anticipated to open May 11

• Westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Val Vista Drive — anticipated to open May 14

• Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Gilbert Road

• Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Price Road

Help promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 miles per hour in work zones for the safety of you and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
