The spirit theme days continued on Tuesday with Jersey/Jersey Shore, where students wore anything from sports jerseys to iconic outfits of the 2000s. Wednesday also had a spirit theme, Reality Stars, where students dressed up as people from reality shows.
On Thursday, the Homecoming parade took place in the morning, featuring many of the school’s club and athletics, as well as a float dedicated to each grade. Following the parade, the Homecoming rally took place in the Blue Gym. The Cactus Shadows Spiritline and the Falcon Dance Company performed, the teachers played a singing game, and Homecoming king and queen candidates competed in a race. Thursday also had a spirit theme, which was Love Island.
Students wore neon colors or beach wear to show their school spirit.
At school on Friday, students channeled their inner influencer for the Influencer Takeover spirit theme, and at night packed the nest in support of the football team.
Cactus Shadows won the “Survivor”-themed game against Camelback with a final score of 40-13. Halftime featured a performance from Spiritline and the announcement of the Homecoming king and queen, Casen Stieg and Jordan Habighorst.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Homecoming week came to a close with the “Dancing with the Stars”-themed dance. It took place in the Blue Gym and featured a DJ, a discoball, an open area for dancing and socializing, and a seating area in the back.
