The building for the International Dark Sky Discovery Center in Fountain Hills is now weather tight, according to Brandon Gonzalez, construction manager for McCarthy Building Companies, the general contractor for the project.
Recent rain showers have shown the newly installed roofing on the building stands firm against the elements, Gonzalez said.
Forms are in place for sidewalks surrounding the building to be poured with concrete and the metal roof panels to be installed on the Craig and Ruth Gimbel Hyperspace Planetarium are set to be installed in the coming week.
