Weekend freeway work to affect Mesa-to-Tempe Loop 202 link

Northbound/westbound Loop 202 will be closed between US 60 in east Mesa and Loop 101 in Tempe beginning Friday night, state transportation officials said.
The closure will take place from 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, to noon Saturday, April 13, for pavement sealing work.
Alternate routes include westbound US 60, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation, which noted that crews will work to reopen Loop 202 in sections as the sealant work progresses on Saturday morning.
Eastbound/southbound Loop 202 will be closed between Loop 101 and US 60 in Mesa from 8 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday for pavement sealing.
Alternate routes include eastbound US 60. As with the earlier work, crews will reopen Loop 202 in sections on Sunday morning.
