Early voting in person and through mail-in ballots has begun to fill dozens of seats on the boards and councils of the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District and Salt River Valley Water Users’ Association.
Election Day is April 2.
Qualified voters may vote in person or drop off their early voting ballot through April 2 at the SRP Voting Center in the SRP Administration Building, 1500 N. Mill Ave., Tempe. The SRP Voting Center will be open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until April 1, and 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Early voting ballots may also be returned by mail in the stamped self-addressed envelope provided, according to a release from SRP. All early voting ballots must be received by mail or at designated drop off location no later than 7 p.m. April 2.
On Election Day only, early voting ballots may also be returned to either of the following two off-site ballot drop-off locations, which will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.: the SRP West Valley Service Center, 221 N. 79th Ave. in Tolleson, and the SRP Southside Water Service Center, 3160 S. Alma School Road, Mesa.
There is no in-person voting at the two locations.
To be eligible to vote, district and association electors must be the owner of qualified land, or an individual who has been appointed by the trustee(s) to vote on behalf of qualified land held in a qualifying trust, according to the release.
In addition, district electors must be a qualified, registered Arizona voter and live within the state.
