Tempe to get new shopping center on Warner, Rural

Posted

Thompson Thrift has just broken ground on a 3-acre development in south Tempe. The development is projected to open between  June and December of 2026.

South Tempe Square will hold 10 retail spaces in 27,000 square feet with a 4,500-square-foot area still open for leasing. Look Lab med spa, Pacific Dental, Good Vets, and Luna Grill have signed leases with few spaces left.

“Leasing activity has been strong, and we’re excited to deliver a well-rounded mix of retailers, restaurants and service providers that reflect the needs and energy of this growing neighborhood,” said Ashlee Boyd, managing partner for Thompson Thrift Commercial, in a press release.

There are two spaces left for businesses looking to lease. The complex is between Loop 101 and Interstate 10 and miles from Arizona State University to accommodate food and health services to Tempe.

“We’re committed to creating well-designed and intentional projects that serve the needs of the community, and we believe South Tempe Square will be a valuable addition for local residents and the broader Tempe area,” said Dan Sink, president and chief financial officer of Thompson Thrift Development, in a press release.
