Tempe Police respond to shooting Monday morning

Tempe Police responded to a shooting just after 12:30 a.m. Oct. 5.

On Mill Avenue and Fifth Street in downtown Tempe, two groups fought. During the fight, a man pulled out a gun and shot the victim, according to police

The group with the suspect fled the scene but was found by police shortly after.

All parties involved have been detained and one arrest was made, though police declined to name the suspect. 

Tempe Police say a victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. 

This is an ongoing investigation; however, police have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat or outstanding suspects.
