Tempe PD needs help to ID man who allegedly followed 3 teen girls

Three 14-year-old girls told Tempe police they were being followed by a man Thursday evening, and authorities are asking the public to help them identify him.

Police responded about 5:45 p.m. March 15 after receiving a call that the girls had been followed near South Lakeshore and East Watson drives.

The teenagers, who were alone, ran east on Watson Drive, “where a third party drove them to safety and called the police,” according to police.

The man is described as 5-feet-10 with shoulder-length dark brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing black pants, dark-colored shoes and a black short-sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tempe Police Department at (480) 350-8311. Callers may remain anonymous, police said.
