The Salvation Army-City of Tempe Community Food Drive will take place through Aug. 28 with donation locations throughout the city.

The Salvation Army-City of Tempe Community Food Drive began a two-week run Aug. 17 with more dropoff locations than last year's event.
A “literal ton of food” was collected during last year’s drive, according to a release announcing the 2026 campaign, which runs through Aug. 28.
The items needed include peanut butter, jelly, cereal, canned tuna and chicken, canned/boxed full meals, macaroni and cheese, rice, beans, bread, chili and soups, canned lunch meat, pop-top food items so no can opener is needed and shelf-stable milk.
