Posted

Tempe is putting the final touches on the Mill Avenue Downtown Refresh project, and most of the work will be taking place overnight, city officials said.

Curb striping removal will occur 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. July 20 – 22.

Workers will repair manholes 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 20-23, according to the city.

Here is how traffic will be affected:

  • No through traffic on northbound Mill Avenue at University Drive.
  • No left turns from westbound University Drive to Mill Avenue.
  • No left turns from southbound Mill Avenue to eastbound University Drive.

Intermittent parking and bike lane closures from University Drive to Rio Salado Parkway along Mill Avenue will occur until July 22.

“You may hear back-up alarms and grinding equipment, but every effort will be made to minimize the noise and impacts,” city officials stated in a release.
