A brand new mural has been completed at the Escalante Multi-Generational Center, bringing a rich, vibrant scene into the center's Youth Room, a hub for activity and recreation.
During an opening reception scheduled for April 12, attendees can mix and mingle with community members and meet muralist Ignacio Garcia, who crafted the mural based on ideas from the youth who regularly use the space, a city release explained.
The mural at the center depicts a fantasy world of play and imagination.
Garcia is well known throughout the Southwest for his 3D chalk street art commissions, large photo-realistic murals and modern visual art collections of original works, the release detailed. His murals can be found throughout Arizona and across the country.
