Tempe kicks off pool season with its first free April Pools Day Event at Kiwanis Wave Pool on April 6, from 1-5 p.m.
Brush up on pool safety and enjoy the waves at the free, family-friendly event, featuring water safety activities, CPR demos, swim lessons, waves and a visit from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, a city release explained. Salt River Project will also provide complimentary water safety bags.
Welcome the return of weekend waves in the warm, indoor waters of the Kiwanis Wave Pool, the release stated.
Admission is free. For information, visit tempe.gov/waves or call 480-350-5201. Kiwanis Wave Pool will be open on Saturdays only in April and Saturdays and Sundays in May.
