Kiwanis Park to reopen in Tempe

Celebrate the reopening of the Kiwanis Park north play area with a free Arts in the Parks event, featuring a ribbon cutting, live music, food trucks, arts activities and the Tempe Play Mobile.

Meet artist Bobby Zokaites, who designed the park's climbable public art sculpture, and enjoy the park improvements, which include:

  • Total renovation and expansion of the existing playground with all new equipment and accessible rubber surfacing
  • New large group ramada
  • Climbable public art sculpture 
  • New shade structures
  • Additional new trees and landscape
  • Irrigation upgrades
  • New restroom and concession building
  • Improved accessible parking and ramps

Free water and sweet treats will be available. 

Food trucks like Sho Lov, Habanero's Tacos and Pedaling Paletas will also be available. 

Enjoy a watercolor art project facilitated by local artist Kyllan Maney and a Bag Charm art activity facilitated by local artists Megan Hennessy.

Kiwanis Park is located at the corner of Mill Avenue and All-American Way in Tempe.
