It is with great sadness that the family of James Joseph Conway announce his passing on January 31, 2024 at the age of 89. He passed away in his loving wife’s arms at their home in Sun City West, Arizona. He was born on June 15, 1934 to Nelson and Marie Conway, and raised in Oak Park, Illinois. He was preceded to heaven by his siblings and his son James. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Catherine and they were married for 64 devoted years. They were blessed by three children: James (Karen), Julie (David) McBee, and Janette (Jeff) Liebling along with ten grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, as well as a fond uncle to Kathy (Steve) Krause and Jackie (Peter) Weber. He was a faithful member of the Palm West Community Church in Sun City West, Arizona. He will be dearly missed by his wife Cathie along with family and friends who loved him. A “Celebration of Life & Memorial Service” will be held on March 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Palm West Community Church, 13845 W. Stardust Blvd. Sun City West, Arizona, 85375. The Celebration of Life & Memorial Service will be live streamed for anyone wishing to attend, through the Palm West Community Church website. Those who so desire may make a memorial donation to Palm West Community Church in memory of Jim.
