Posted
Tom Blodgett
Gilbert opened Desert Sky Park on Nov. 6 with a ribbon-cutting, a fun run, food, bounce structures and more.

"There must be 500 kids here," Mayor Jenn Daniels said. "There are 80,000 kids in Gilbert. We did this for you."

Phase 1 of the park includes a 3.5 acre lake, a "ninja warrior"-style playground and four multipurpose fields.
