As the heat begins to fade and the nights get longer and darker, Four Peaks Brewing is getting ready to resurrect the spookiest time of year with its annual Haunted Brewery Tour program.
The Four Peaks Haunted Brewery Tours will begin Sunday, Sept. 20 and run through Thursday, Oct. 29. Tours are offered Sunday through Wednesday nights, with a 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. timeslot available each night.
Tickets are $40 and include an exclusive souvenir T-shirt and 32-ounce crowler of Four Peaks Pumpkin Porter, the most popular seasonal beer in Arizona, currently on tap at the 8th Street Pub in Tempe and available statewide.
“Something just feels right about a Pumpkin Porter and our haunted building during the Halloween season,” Needle said.
Four Peaks Brewing began running the Haunted Brewery Tours in 2019. The popular event led to a 2023 appearance on Discovery Channel’s Ghost Adventures. The Haunted Brewery Tours visit several of the locations highlighted in the “Terror in Tempe” episode and use paranormal detection devices similar to those seen on the show.
“Every year, we learn more about the history of our building and its spirit residents,” Needle said. “This year, our tour guests will get to hear all about a new paranormal discovery we made. The fun part? Guests will work with their guide to, hopefully, communicate with the other side and help us understand why the brewery is such a magnet for paranormal activity.”
In addition to the haunted brewery tours, Four Peaks Brewing will be returning a second haunted brewery experience on select weekend nights: the ‘Drafts with the Dead’ Brewery Experience. A combination of a guided beer tasting, food sampling and paranormal investigation, the ‘Drafts with the Dead’ Brewery Experience will be held Friday nights from September 18 to October 23. Tickets are $45, available to those 21+ and include a beer tasting led by a Four Peaks Brewing beer expert, small bites, a mini-ghost hunt and beer to take home.
