'Enchiladas and soup' chain closes Chandler, Tempe locations

Posted

Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup has closed both its Chandler and Tempe locations.

The Chandler location was downtown on the northwest corner of Frye Road and Arizona Avenue, sharing a parking lot with the Sleepy Whale.

The Tempe location was at 505 W. West University Avenue at  Wilson Street, about halfway between South Hardy Drive and Mill Avenue.

Gadzooks’ locations in Arcadia and Encanto Village parts of Phoenix and in Gilbert remain open.

“After more than 10 years of feeding the community, we’re making some hard decisions in response to shifting times,” the businesses leaders wrote on social media. “So, here’s the scoop — our Tempe and Chandler locations will be permanently closed effective Monday 2/3/2025.”
