Crescent Hotels & Resorts opens Westin Tempe hotel

Crescent Hotels & Resorts, a hotel management company, recently announced the grand opening of Westin Tempe.

The hotel at 11 E. Seventh St. in downtown Tempe has 290 guest rooms and 18 suites, and has Westin’s signature Heavenly Beds, according to a release.

A state-of-the-art fitness center is accessible 24/7 and features Peloton bicycles, pilates balls and mats, free weights and cardiovascular equipment.

“We are excited to provide the Tempe community with a new hotel that has all the amenities a modern traveler is looking for,” said Michael George, CEO of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, in the release. “From the new fitness center that can rival any boutique gym experience to the stunning views and rooftop nightlife experience, the Westin Tempe has everything guests want under one roof.”

Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of downtown Tempe’s skyline and Tempe Butte, known as “A” Mountain, and provide views from every floor of the 18-story hotel. On the rooftop, guests can take in the sights while swimming in a heated infinity pool and whirlpool. Or they may absorb their surroundings from the Skysill Rooftop Lounge — an open-air bar — as they sip and savor their way through cocktails, a wine list and shared plates, the release states.

“The Skysill Rooftop Lounge is just one of three unforgettable dining experiences guest can try at the Tempe Westin,” Patti Hunt, general manager of the hotel, said in the release. “We are also proud to introduce The Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits, our signature restaurant, to Westin Tempe guests and the local community. Specializing in Sonoran cuisine, Executive Chef Alexander Robinson’s menu puts a healthy twist on Mexican and Southwest staple dishes, incorporating fresh, seasonal, local ingredients and flavors.”

Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits, on the ground floor of the property, is open at 4 p.m. for dinner service. Guests and local neighbors can also visit Cup of Joe Market Café with fresh coffee and gourmet grab-n-go options.

“Whatever dining experience guests are craving, they will find it here, at the Westin Tempe,” Hunt said in the release.

The Westin Tempe also offers event space. It has more than 21,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space — including two ballrooms and an outdoor terrace. Audio-visual technology and high-speed Internet are available for meetings, conferences and seminars. Group guests also have the option to host private outdoor events on Sunstone Terrace — adjacent to meeting space — or at Skysill Rooftop Lounge. For those looking to host large-scale galas or weddings, the Opal Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 guests.
