INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Arizona State University police are searching for three suspects in connection with a reported armed robbery on Sunday night.
Police received a call at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, of the armed robbery near University Towers and South Forest Avenue.
Tempe police received a call of a similar incident that happened on South Mill Avenue just before the Towers incident, according to ASU police.
“Witnesses and the victim said three black males wearing masks and dark clothing got out of a black SUV parked south of the Towers, approached the victim and brandished a gun before leaving with the victim's phone, wallet and AirPods,” ASU police said in a release.
The suspects returned to the SUV parked south of the Towers and fled northbound in the vehicle on South Forest Avenue, authorities said.
